Roof Damaged By Large Hail

Some storms are awesome to behold and hail is always leaves people wondering how nature works. The NASA website has this to say about hail.

"Hail forms when thunderstorm updrafts are strong enough to carry water droplets well above the freezing level. This freezing process forms a hailstone, which can grow as additional water freezes onto it. Eventually, the hailstone becomes too heavy for the updrafts to support it and it falls to the ground."

When golf and tennis ball size hail storms hit the Houston area it is because the updrafts are strong enough to keep the hail in the thunderstorm gather more water.

The downfall of this magnificent storm is roof damage which can therefore cause water to leak into your home. Call SERVPRO of Town and Country if your home has suffered from hail damage.
